Hong Kong International Medical Equipment and Supplies Fair held in mid-May
The 6th Hong Kong Trade Development Council Hong Kong International Medical Equipment and Supplies Fair will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center from May 18 to 20, 2015. The exhibition is expected to bring together about 250 high-quality exhibitors, providing a golden opportunity for people in the medical industry and buyers to collect different types of medical equipment, products and services. In 2014, the exhibition attracted more than 9,600 buyers, an increase of 17% from the previous edition.
Themed exhibition area meets market demand
According to United Nations figures, the majority of the elderly population is currently female, and the situation will continue in the future. In 2014, global women lived an average of 4.5 years longer than men. Therefore, women accounted for 54% of the population aged 60 or over, while 62% were 80 or older. These trends have led to a continuous increase in the demand for health care and beauty products designed for the elderly, especially women.
